The Ergostyle Worksite Assessment service aims to interpret the current function allocation of tasks and workload of a staff member in relation to their existing workstation environment. It is
essentially a snap shot in time which can provide valuable insight as to the actual workload experienced by a staff member and their daily interaction with the environment, resources and tools provided to them.
Often, there is a perceived expectation that best practice principles are in place yet departure from the optimum is common place as human responses fluctuate to accommodate prevailing
conditions.

End User Focus
An important feature of the Worksite Assessment (WA) is that the attention is placed on the staff member and their immediate workstation. It is a one on one interview conducted in a empathetic
manner. The course of the WA is mostly structured, however the questions posed can identify aspects of the job which have not been analysed to any depth yet impact on productivity. These insights can lead to better understanding of systems on offer solutions for
improvement issues.
Conducted as a verbal interview, baseline data is recorded and if a written report is required a concise written report is provided at extra cost.
Procedure
01 The process starts with an discussion about daily activities in general and then drills down to specific tasks and interaction with desktop
machines and tools.
02 Indications of discomfort are solicited and strategies for prevention of injury offered.
03 Measurement of the physical environment.
04 Identify mismatches between task requirements and environment
05 Make suggestions for workstation and interaction improvement
06 Observations and recommendations are summarised
Hazard Management
Many opportunities exist for staff to deviate from safe work practices and expose themselves to risk of injury. Daily work patterns and repetitive habits are formed from previous experiences
and can lay the foundations for a gradual process injury. More often than not the risks are oblivious to the staff member whose attention is on achieving the performance requirements of their job.
The WA can easily identify potential hazards and offer solutions to minimise risk.
