Ergolab Design Studio
ErgoLab is the Product Design Studio at Ergostyle. There are always a number of projects in progress at any one time. We welcome the opportunity to design and fabricate any industrial design project.
The ergonomics design approach adopted by Ergostyle has a clear focus on health and safety issues and end user satisfaction. We have a strong belief in incorporating end user input during the development cycle and the use of 3 D mock ups to
evaluate human interface issues.
Development cycle
System study
1. System requirements established. Alternatives reviewed, specifications of performance and purpose
2. Detailed study of proposed design. Research to solve unknowns or decide between alternatives.
Research phase
3. Develop model to test and proved engineering layouts etc.
Development phase
4. Evaluation of development model. Modifications decided and proved. General redesign where necessary.
Production
5. Production of prototype.
Operation
6. Installation, training, use. Maintenance. Possible improvements revealed. Post delivery modifications.

CCTV Controlroom
Human Performance is the essential element in any control room operations.
While the technology is fascinating, too often this consumes our attention and the budget of the project leaving little consideration for the operators and
workstations.
Our challenge is to remind the Facilities Managers of the vital role of the people and need to support their capacity to function in demanding situations.

Bus Exchange Controlroom
In this project we first conducted a Predesign Research phase to understand the workload demand, population variation and operational tasks. This identified the Performance Specifications for the design
brief.

The outcome converted an ad hoc collection of screens, input tools and comms devices into an organised sequential display array and control system. The whole worksurface is electric height adjustable giving
true Sit to Stand capability to cater to the range of operators and their postural well being.
