Genius Co-working is part of one of Christchurch’s last great historical buildings is coming back to life!

Housed in Woods Mill Addington, Genius Co-working space is a stunning, semi-industrial space featuring exposed brick and timber beams.

The striking fit-out was developed in collaboration with Designer Ella Fitzgerald, Ergostyle
and the Genius Co-working who wanted to create a space that would foster a friendly yet premium space to inspire the sharing of ideas in addition to inspiring creativity, productivity and collaboration

The desire to create an aesthetically beautiful space. The unique characteristic of the building materials became an integral and sentimental part of the space, contributing to the sense of familiarity and comfort we endeavoured to create.

Every fitting and finish shows a bit of history. The generous high ceilings, exposed bricks and hardwood beams are reminiscent of the stylistic conventions employed in industrial architecture during the latter half of the eighteenth century in England.

Founded By William Derisley Wood in 1886 then further developed in 1996. The building was originally built for the sole use as a Mill. It has endured the test of time, strong winds and earthquakes and now is being brought back to its original state for the people of Christchurch to enjoy.

With unique one of a kind office spaces, Apartments, a Theatre, Cafe’s and Markets Woods Mill is Coming backing with a bang, all while keeping true to the building’s history.
